Go back down La Rue a Don take a sharp right then turn left onto Rue Horman. Turn left onto Les Chemins des Maltier. Follow the road onto La Rue du Moulin de Bas. Another sharp right onto Le Catillon. Turn left onto Route De la Houge Bie. Turn right to stay on Rue de Pignneuax. Continue onto Fosse a L’ecrevan. Turn right onto Rue de Chateau Clairval. Continue onto Rue de la Guilleaumerie. Turn left then right onto Rue de Dialment. Turn left then right Rue de la Piece Mauger. Turn left onto La Profonde Route. Then you are there.

History

La Hougue Bie - The site consists of an 18.6 metre long passage chamber covered by a 12.2 metre high mound of earth. Fragments of twenty vase supports were found along with the scattered remains of at least eight individuals. At some time in the past, the site had evidently been entered and ransacked. On top of the mound were built two Medieval chapels. La Hougue Bie dolmen is the biggest, longest and best preserved Passage Grave in Europe and is one of only a few that is aligned to the spring and summer equinoxes.

Jersey Zoo - the zoo was established by Gerald Durrell in 1959 when he decided to build a zoo for animals who were endangered. It is now a 25 hectare site with hundreds of species of animals. Their main message is conservation and they do amazing work around the world to help breeding programmes and
